Welcome to the new dogfight ladder, new rules and a new system is in place for BF4 so please read below -
***If you are applying for the platoon please make sure you have not exceeded the maximum of 3 platoons already. If you are rejected this is the reason why. You may also be rejected if you have no experience in the jet on your profile. If you feel you should be accepted leave a message on the public wall.
Rules:
Each new player will start at the bottom of the ladder. A player is able to challenge any player above them. If the lower-ranked player wins, they will move up HALF the distance between their current rank, and the rank of the person they challenged.
Example:
If you are ranked #50, and you defeat the #1 ranked, you will be #25.
If #10 defeats #5, the new rank would be #7, and the players occupying spots #7, #8 and #9 would each lose one rung.
You do NOT lose rank from losing a match unless the person who challenges you is directly below you. Rather, it is possible to be jumped over by others winning challenges, in which case you will move down 1 rung.
To begin the dogfight pass head on and shoot to signal readiness. First to 4 wins a match. A crash counts as a point and getting stuck into the flight ceiling does not give you an automatic restart. The J20 with 20mm cannons is the default, but if both pilots agree then the SU-50 or F-35 and any cannon is acceptable.
* New Rule: Crashes count. Period.
**Rules may be changed
Challenging:
A player is able to challenge any other player on the ladder. However, after a challenge is completed a player must wait 3 days before challenging the same player again. A player cannot challenge another player with an active challenge already out. This means a player that has been challenged by someone else, or that has challenged someone themselves. You can "queue" a challenge so that once that person has completed their challenge, yours will be next.
If you are challenged you have 3 days to complete the challenge, otherwise it is an automatic forfeit. If you gain 3 automatic forfeits you will automatically lose 5 spots on the ladder.
When issuing a challenge you MUST contact the person each day via an explicit Xbox live message as well as posting the challenge on the platoon wall. Keep updates on your challenges in your challenge comments.
*Post ALL challenges in the "Private" section of the platoon.
Reporting:
When reporting a win please start a new post and tell whether you have defended your spot or defeated a higher ranked opponent.
