Just log into Origin on your new computer and start downloading. Its simple as that. You can redownload BF3 and all expansions for free if you bought it the first time, and your profile is saved online, so you wont lose anything.

Another simple way to do this, especially if you only want to move one game like battlefield 3 is to do the following:

1) move your battlefield directory where you want it ie ssd:\Games\Battlefield 3
2) run the dos prompt and from there type the following command: mklink /J <old directory> <new directory>
3) so that command would be, if you moved it to the example I gave in step one: mklink /J C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\Battlefield 3 ssd:\Games\Battlefield 3
4) run and play as normal

other ways and faster to do this.. when you get a new hdd, copy the origin folder to external hdd first, then copy it back. install bf3 from download, wait 30 seconds, then cancel, now copy every thing back overwriting everything, then click on each dlc and click repair, it will download in a matter of seconds and fix them as you go. then when they all done including bf3 itself, play the game, easy as....

15 MILLION KIDS PLAY BF3. 2 adults say they don't like the game but still play it..

Same here. I'd like to know if this method will help me place my game in my new PC without downloading it all over again, because it will take ages to do so.

you do it the easy way, copy it to another hard drive, redo comp or what not, install origin again on the computer you want it on, once origin as loaded up, goto settings and change the dir were games are stored, once done, restart origin, then click download bf3, it will look like it going to download and wham it will install it there and then,

This method should work fine when moving from one computer to another. Only difference is instead of going from drives, for example, C to D, you'd be moving it from one computers drive to another. The steps proceeding the move would take place on the second PC, as you may have guessed.

I've noticed that, sometimes, this move to a different drive can cause issues. The no-gun-after-deploy glitch seems to plague this move. I had moved the game to my SSD and that glitch started happening, moved it back to my HDD, good as gold! Not entirely sure why this happens. All the same, if you find you're running into that glitch, try moving the game back. It's slower, but it works, right?

Thanks for the guide! It applies to all if not most Origin games. Same process. Cheers!
