Battlelog Web Plugin Won't Install

I haven't played BF3 in about a year and when I decided to try play again I was taken to a web page when I never was before. I made my Battlelog account to play, logged in and clicked multiplayer. I clicked on quick match and a popup told me I needed to install browser plugins. When I click on the download button nothing happens. My network meter doesn't even show network activity so I know the plugin isn't even downloading. WTF!? What was wrong with JUST ORIGIN!?
I did some searching and found nothing useful, just stupid and obvious suggestions like restart your PC or uninstall and reinstall the plugin. I can't find anything battlelog related in my programs and plugins lists and the download link all the the forums with that answer give doesn't work. When i go to the link and download the file it is only 9 bytes and doesn't run. This is my system and browser if it makes a difference:
Windows 7 64 bit
Firefox 18.0.1
i5 2500K @4.5GHz
GTX 660 Ti
8GB 2133 MHz RAM

Can someone help me fix this issue or find some way for me to get my money back? If I can't play the game I may as well get back the money I spent on it.

You need premium to fix your issues.

You can get it here: []

Why should I need premium? I shouldn't have to pay more to play a game I've already bought. I'm not spending more money to play. If you look carefully at my post I'm asking for my money back if i can't fix this issue, not offering to give out money.

I would rather have had the R1000 i spent on the Imperator/BF3 bonus deal that came with an expired dog tag on arrival on a RAT7 and put whatever was left towards a better headset than this shit. Why did i spend all that money if i can't play the game?

I'm not paying for premium and I really doubt I have to spend another R400 on a game I spent R1000 on already. R1400 for one game? I don't think so. I'd rather have my money back. I really doubt that what Carburettor is saying is true.
Can we get an ADMIN in here to give actual advice, not his own personal opinion?

The issue is with your browser, not BF3.
It's also possible any virus software you are using is preventing it from installing.

It would help if you listed which browser you are using.

The issue was as Crackhead said, my antivirus was the issue. I have Bitdefender Total Security 2013. The firewall was preventing the plugin from downloading. I turned off the firewall long enough to download and install the plugin

Yeah! this seriously makes me mad. I just bought BF3 and it took long enough to get orgin working, but now the battleog just wont let me do ANYTHING. if it has to do with premium, i want a refund, because i should be able to play anyways. who needs 6 menus to just open thier game? EA can be so retarded sometimes. I tried to get it to work with chrome, internet explorer 8, and 9, and firefox, but NOPE!

I got it to work guys. I launched the game and it took me to the website, and when i chose to play campain it worked! :D
Also, i must say, its kind of dumb that they still need to have 3 menus to acess a game.
orgin-battlelog-bf3 menu
and you have EA gun club to track your stats too :I

Try turning off your firewalls to download the web plugin, I turned mine off and the problem was solved. Turn on the firewall after you've installed the plugin

I don't understand "battlelog" it would be so nice if they could just use an in-game multiplayer to join matches. Man, if it would just work for STEAM.

manual uninstall did not help, as manually downloaded version still will not install.
