VBIOS - the acronym for the movie, translated from the Russian which means "Only Oldsters Are Going to Battle" -

The title comes from two scenes in the film, where the squadron gets in tough dogfight with German fighters,
so only oldsters (i.e. veterans) are sent up, while pilots sent from the flying school are waiting on the ground.
After a while newcomers replace veterans and became veterans themself.
