I just joined a random server, but I want to test if friendly fire is on. Without wasting a second, I'll just shoot whatever weapon I currently have equipped, at the closest nearby teammate. Naturally, it happens to be a helicopter. Luckily, I also happen to have an RPG equipped. No worries, I'll just shoot it and see what happens.
