Bounty Season is Open
In Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity, we are introducing a new mode titled, “Bounty Hunter”. Bounty Hunter is a high intensity infantry focused mode that pits the teams in a war to collect the other team’s bounty coins.
When a player is taken out a team-colored coin is dropped in the world by their body. When an enemy coin is collected it is added to your team’s score. Friendly coins can be collected to deny the enemy the ability to score your team’s coin. The first team to collect enough enemy coins to hit the limit wins the match.
Although simple at its core, this mode provides some unique team and individual strategy.
It is imperative to stay with your team to prevent the enemy from securing coins from fallen teammates. The best strategies are to move as a unit, bringing ammo, health, and area denial grenades like gas and molotovs. Keep your teammates healthy, well supplied, and prevent the enemy from getting their hands on your bounties.
Use the lure of coins to your advantage. Leave a coin in the open and wait in ambush for an unsuspecting enemy player. Be aware of the enemy using the same tactic. Think twice before darting into the middle of the open to collect a coin, you may just become an easy point for the opposing team.
The size and scope of maps offered in Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity allow for a variety of play styles and provide an excellent playground for this new mode. In Black Friday, set in a Miami shopping mall, tight hallways and focused chokepoints provide excellent routes for run-and-gun players. Code Blue and The Beat, offer a blend of close quarters and medium range engagements that complement the new selection of battle rifles. Add an Angled Foregrip and a 4x Optic and you’re ready dominate at longer ranges in the hills of Backwoods. Just make sure you bring ammo, Bounty Hunting season is open.

Battlefield Hardline CTE is live – Learn how to sign up
We’re glad to inform you that the Battlefield Hardline Community Test Environment (CTE) is now live on PC. Just like the CTE for Battlefield 4, the purpose is to test fixes for gameplay, fine-tune balancing, and try out upcoming content before it gets into the game.
Improve Battlefield Hardline With Us
The CTE will provide passionate fans the chance to evolve Battlefield Hardline with us and become a part of the development process. We’ll be able to test new ideas and solutions to current issues before we roll them out to all Battlefield players.
For Battlefield Hardline, one of the first things we will perfect through the CTE is Netcode on the Downtown map.
How to Access the CTE
This community program will be playable on PC only. However, the goal is for our learnings to benefit all platforms when possible. To access the CTE, you will need to be a Battlefield Hardline Premium member on either PC or consoles. Then you’ll have download a separate game client and connect to an infrastructure and Battlelog version solely set up for testing purposes.

Backwoods: First Glimpse at Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity
Deep in the remote, mountainous crags of the Pacific Northwest, there is no buzzing of sawmills and cries of “timber!” The equipment may be silent, but that doesn’t mean there’s no action at the abandoned lumber mills of Backwoods, one of the four new maps featured in Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity!
Learn how to get a 2-week head start with Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity
Backwoods is set among the redwoods and rushing streams of an old logging operation, which has been taken over and converted into a drug production facility. We designed this map to give players a natural, organic playground – a nice counterpart to the urban jungle of the game’s traditional maps. Under the redwood canopy, there are tons of hills, gullies, and rock formations to hide in. Abandoned lumber stations landmark the area, and a creaky covered bridge serves as a crossroads between two sides of the camp. (That is, until it’s destroyed.) Oh, and it must be said: this map is totally gorgeous.
One of the best things about Backwoods is that it can be played in any mode, including Hotwire, and our latest mode Bounty Hunter. In fact, Hotwire is probably the best mode in which to experience this map. It’s the biggest of the four Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity maps, and the wide open spaces give drivers a ton of options for shaking a tail or running down a hotwired car. In playtests, we’ve had some seriously wild matches chasing each other down ravines, through rivers, and over rugged hills. We really loved making this map, and we can’t wait to hear what you think about it!
