Since 2006, the 13th Cavalry has been considered, by many, to be one of the most entertaining "military" gaming communities on Xbox Live. At its core, the 13th is merely a group of die hard military gamers who believes that working together, as one cohesive unit, is the only way to play Battlefield. Nevertheless, the 13th Cavalry is not a clan; it's a unit. Unlike other online gaming teams, the word "clan" does not do us justice. We actually go out of our way to create an amazing gaming experience that is unlike any other, this is definitely not your ordinary FPS community. We pride ourselves on the fact that we are so much more!
We certainly understand the 13th Cavalry is NOT for everyone. We strongly suggest that if you're a lone-wolf that you find another outfit to join. We're not impressed with individual rankings, kill/death ratios, or in-game achievements. Personal accolades mean absolutely nothing to us. Instead, the 13th Cavalry prefers to utilize "real world" military tactics and strategies to seize victory on the Battlefield while establishing an richly entertaining atmosphere all at the same time. In addition, we also use an abridged version of the US Army ranking system that encourages our members to add to the overall immersion. For example, if you're a Private - follow orders; if you're a Sergeant - lead the squad; if you're an Officer - command the team. We only believe in one basic concept: STRATEGY-OVER-SKILL!
There are active military, former military, and mature civilians within our unit, so we do our best to implement a high level of respect in everything we do. We must never forget that BATTLEFIELD 3 is the recreation of warfare, so it's the 13th Cavalry's duty to always represent itself in good taste to honor those who currently serve, have severed, and especially to those who have paid the ultimate price while serving our country. We're proud to fight with class to show the rest of the world that the majority of gamers are decent people and not the stereotypical jackasses that make up a good part of the online gaming community. Heck, someone needs to change the world of gaming, why not us?
