Community Mission: A Million Kills with a Classic Revolver
Do you feel lucky? Well, that always helps – but for this brand new Community Mission you’ll need a good amount of collective skill as well.
Jump into any Battlefield 4 multiplayer mode and map and collectively score 1,000,000 kills with the .44 Magnum. This mission is active between July 16, 9AM PT and July 20, 2AM PT.
I know what you’re thinking. “Did they say 1 million?” Well, to tell you the truth we know it’s a lot – but we also know the great things the Battlefield 4 community can accomplish when cooperating.
If you succeed and confirm your success on Battlelog before the mission time runs out, we’ll reward you with a Gold Battlepack (be sure to redeem your reward through Battlelog before July 20, 2AM PT).
To make sure you don’t lose track in all this excitement, head to the Community Missions tab to check the community’s progress. You can also see how you’re doing if you bring up Battlelog in-game – just check the “Missions” tab (PC, PS4, and XONE only).
Zodiac Community Mission: Cancer
This one ain’t for the landlubbers. In a brand new Zodiac Community Mission, we want you to hit the open seas for a sharpshooting challenge. There is a ten-legged award in it for those who succeed.
Your mission?
We want you to score 5 kills from boats on any game mode or map in Battlefield 4. This mission is active between July 1, 9AM PT and July 6, 2AM PT.
Track the progress of your Community Mission here. You can also see how you’re doing if you bring up Battlelog from your in-game menu – just check the “Missions” tab (PC, PS4, and Xbox One only).
If you’re deadly enough at sea, your reward will be a new Zodiac Dog Tag for your collection (beware, it pinches). Before the mission ends on July 6, 2AM PT, make sure to claim this on the Community Mission page, or in the Battlelog menu that you can access while you’re in the game.

Battlefield 4 CTE Comes to Xbox One
The Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment (CTE) on PC has enabled us to change and improve on Battlefield 4 in an unprecedented way, with the help of your input. Now, we are excited to announce that the CTE is coming to Xbox One.
With continued Battlefield 4 developmental support, this will allow us to iterate on more daring and experimental changes directly affecting Xbox Oneplayers. As a player in the CTE, you will be able to provide your feedback and influence the future of Battlefield 4.
The type of updates on the CTE on Xbox One will be bigger and less frequent than on PC. However, you can still expect regular updates, tests, and prototypes.
As you play the latest build on the CTE, you’ll be able to provide your feedback on the CTE Battlelog forums.
This first release on Xbox One includes the Community Map that’s currently being developed (see the Community Map Project) and three night maps from the “Night Operations Project”. Keep in mind that anything you see in the CTE might not be released into the retail game.
How to Sign Up for the Battlefield 4 CTE on Xbox One
In order to participate, you’ll need to own Battlefield 4 on Xbox One, be a Battlefield 4 Premium member for the Xbox One, and be a member of the Xbox One Preview program (learn how to get invited by a friend who is in the XBPP here). Once you’ve signed up and have been selected, the Battlefield 4 CTE build will be available in the Xbox Marketplace.
For more information about signing up for the Battlefield 4 Xbox One CTE, please visit the Battlefield 4 Xbox One CTE FAQ.
See you on the Battlefield!

Below, we’ve gathered some of the most common Spring Update questions from the community.
How come roof access/ladders were removed from some infantry game Modes?
We are currently monitoring how the Maps and Modes play at the moment, and how these changes affect gameplay and flow of these infantry-focused Modes. So, keep your feedback coming.
How come some details were missing from the Spring Patch Notes?
The SRAW changes were made very early in the process, and therefore was missed. We apologize for the oversight, and are taking your feedback into consideration for future patches.
What’s up with the UCAV and Mortar deploy time?
Changes were made with the best intentions. We want to revisit this to optimize its functionality on the Battlefield.
How come the visuals on the Tracer Rounds are very prominent?
The intentions of Tracer Round visuals were to make them noticeable, but we will be taking your feedback into consideration for future patches.
How come kit specific perks/loadouts reset?
We are aware of this issue and looking into a solution. In the meantime, use the in-game Loadout menus which should work perfectly (per Faction).
How come we are still seeing “netcode” issues?
We are seeing server performance issues on some Platforms in some Regions and are working on a solution. If you experience this issue, please try to find another server.
Why has my favorite weapon been changed so much?
We are fairly happy with the weapon balance at this point, but we are always open to feedback. We suggest trying all of the weapons and providing your feedback on the forums.
Why has Zeroing distance changed?
Zeroing has changed slightly due to a resolved headglitch issue and sniper rifle bullet speed changes. The 100M reflect the actual zeroing distance. Previously it did not.
How come the Mare’s Leg seems very weak? I’m not inclined to use it.
We wanted to make sure it’s not OP when you use it at a distance. We are continuing to balance this weapon.
Why has air weapons been changed?
We felt the weapons needed to be changed to provide a better balance against other vehicle types and infantry. We may have changed a bit too much on Conquest, and are continuing to look at your feedback.
Remember that we’re always listening, so if you want answers you can’t find here – let us know in the comments below or on the forums.
