New Video Showcases the Vehicles of Battlefield 1

Vehicles have always played a big part in the Battlefield franchise, and many of the tanks, attack planes, and armored cars you’ve driven and piloted in prior games got their start in World War I. We’re really excited that we get to show the genesis of that vehicular technology with Battlefield 1.
Take a look at how DICE brought a wide variety of vehicles into Battlefield 1 in this new video.
The vehicles you’ll use in Battlefield 1 were created for a new type of warfare. They were massive and powerful, shaping the future of warfare with every shell shot or bomb dropped. These new vehicles required more attention and specialization, represented in-game with the Tanker and Pilot classes you’ll play as if you deploy into a tank or plane respectively.
You’ll be able to try the vehicles for yourself when Battlefield 1 releases on October 21 (or October 18 if you pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition*). Also, don’t forget to sign up for Battlefield Insider to get early access to the Battlefield 1 Open Beta**.

Battlefield Squads at Gamescom to Bring Horses, a New Map, and More

At EA Play, Battlefield Squads pit 64-players in the first-ever livestream of Battlefield 1 gameplay. Next week at Gamescom, we’re deploying it again. On August 16 at 12PM PT/9PM CEST, a new Battlefield Squads livestream will show off a new map filled with Only in Battlefield gameplay. There’s a new trailer coming soon, too, with a trainload of new information about Battlefield 1.
In case you’re wondering, yes, “trainload” is a tease.
This time around, team captains Stoddeh and Drift0r will be leading a crew of your favorite YouTube personalities, Twitch Streamers, and internet stars. They’ll be joined by the likes of StoneMountain64, XfactorGaming, ImAnderZel, TheRelaxingEnd, and many more, going on a destructive adventure into the desert to showcase a new map filled with points to capture, horses to ride, and things to demolish. You can head over to the livestream page for more information.
What’s going to happen? Who is going to win? Will anyone blow up a tank from horseback? You’ll have to tune in on August 16 at 12PM PT/9PM CEST to find out.
Get Up-Close and Personal with a New Video on the Weapons of Battlefield 1

Making a Battlefield game set during World War I has been a dream for a number of the developers at DICE, so for the past decade, many of them have been doing background research. They’ve been looking into the world, the events, and – importantly – the weapons.
Take a look at the inspiration and passion that went into the creation of the guns and gadgets Battlefield 1.
The weapons you’ll use in Battlefield 1 were, at one time, the peak of engineering, and inspired many of the powerful armaments used in modern warfare. They’ll still feel unique, though, and you’ll notice a definite difference between the machine guns in games like Battlefield 4 and the ones you’ll use in Battlefield 1. “It is a different experience,” explains Creative Director Lars Gustavsson. “It’s much more up-close and personal.”
You’ll be able to try the weapons for yourself when Battlefield 1 releases on October 21 (or October 18 if you pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition*). Also, don’t forget to sign up for Battlefield Insider to get early access to the Battlefield 1 Open Beta.
