Some of SAS members in this Platoon are ADF or EX-ADF - RVR / Justice / Federal Tac Trained....We are not a Child-Teeny Clan recruiting for HIGH KD! We are a Genuine group of Guys and Women who like to play together who have common interests as well as working on our gaming skills, We always stick together No Matter What. We mostly go Off Tap on the weekends and also play for shits and giggles but can play seriously when needed.

History:
SAS is a Playstation 4 clan based in Melbourne, Australia. We have a long history (7yrs) spanning different games and genres including MAG, Grid, MW 1/ 3, Bad Company 1 / 2, BF3 and now currently BF4. We were one of the first Australian FPS clans within the Sony Playstation Network competing in Modern Warfare 1 on PS3 in 2007.
PUMPR_79 is the Founder Father of the SAS Clan, with Hall of Fame Founders such as Seagull35, meticulousdragon, WILLIAM2357, SIR_aNT, from the early Gen Consoles to the Modern Era with FERETe3 adding to the Hierarcy in 2012/13 in the BF3 series.
Our member base comprises of Current & Ex ADF members,as well as Current Government Operations personal & Instructors we are also Playstation fans, gaming enthusiasts & Battlefield series lovers. We have a loyal fan base and pride ourselves with having skilled, dedicated but above all else - friendly members who welcome newcomers.
Our aim is to create a Clan/Platoon were members can choose to be competitive in Scrims/Online Battles or the Social Road of a Friendly Drink & Laughs on the Mic the choice is yours. Even the most serious competitor enjoys a few Drinks and Good Laughs most times.
Currently we have 4 SAS members who are elite in their Class and region and in the world with DMR's & Assault Rifles, 1 of which is ranked Top 5 In Aus with DMR's and 3 members ranked #1 Respectively with their Chosen DMR-ASSAULT rifles in Battlefield 4.
In the past, SAS has had some of Australia's top jet, tank and heli pilots scrim with us within the Battlefield series, predominately on BF3.
During the tenure of BF3 Special Air Service took part in scrims against some of Australia's top Battlefield clans including; LGc, LOCQ, HKO, GAMR, FEAR, BBF, MERC and many more. Some matches we lost and some we won, but we are proud to say that we whether we win or lose SAS always put up a fight and carries a professional attitude.
Here are some of the requirements SAS strives to uphold for any current or prospective new members
- A reasonable K/D level 1.2 or higher.
- Must have a headset and use it to communicate with other SAS members
- Ideally be willing to lead or to take squad orders when needed
- SAS emblem must be equipped during scrims (all other times up to the players discretion)
- Be online, willing to train, practice and squad up regularly (no practice = no scrim! you have to put in the hard yards to get selected for scrims)
- Rage quitting during scrims is not allowed (you fight to the end, any members who blatantly do so will be delisted)
- Be respectful to other members and make an effort to be social within the group. (i.e. join SAS chat parties and friend / squad up with other SAS members in game)
- Ideally located in AUS / NZ for time zone purposes
- Must run SAS tags at all times, no tag switching (Your identity as a SAS player is absolutely paramount, be proud of your clan)
- Allegiance to SAS clan were possible! (Playing with other clans and mates is fine of course! Although Being apart of multiple Platoons is only given under exceptional circumstances approved by the SAS Founders purely for Allie Scrim or Practice Reasons.
- Most importantly have fun!
We are looking to move forward into the future and further build a strong foundation in order to scrim competitively in Battlefield 4. Leadership promotion opportunities exist for dedicated and skilled players "Special Air Service to "SAS Scrim" Platoon once they have progressed at a level deemed competant via PUMPR_79.
