Thank You for Playing the Battlefield 1 Open Beta

First of all, a huge thank you for playing in the Battlefield 1 Open Beta. It was exciting playing beside you last week. Looking at the moments you’ve been sharing we cannot help but feel humbled by the dedication you’ve shown. You’ve helped make this the biggest beta in EA’s history – a huge feat! It impressed us so much that we decided to put together an infographic with some of the most interesting stats we discovered.

Secondly, I want to personally thank you all for the great feedback you’ve given us. We’re trawling through forum posts, social media mentions, and digging into some great data. We’re identifying what worked well, and what didn’t work as well. We truly value your input. In the near future, we’ll have more details on the changes we’ll be making to the full version of the game (yes, the Light Tank performed a little too well, that will be addressed).

We’re looking forward to the next time we’ll be able to play with you, once Battlefield 1 is available through EA Access and Origin Access on October 13. Battlefield 1 launches worldwide on October 21 – you can pre-order it here. Thank you all again!

It’s time to deploy. The Battlefield 1 Open Beta† is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Origin for PC. If you want some intel before heading into battle, head over to our Battlefield 1 Beta Tips page.

PC players can click here to head straight to the download page.

There’s more than just war waiting for you in the Beta. If you want a Battlefield 1 Beta Dog Tag* in Battlefield 1 when it comes out on October 21, you’ll need to complete an in-game mission. Want it? Well, you’ll need to make sure to:

  • Rank up to level 15
  • Play on four different days

You’ll be battling in the Sinai Desert map, a scorching hot battlefield located just East of El-Jifar. This is your opportunity to try out thrilling horse charges over sand dunes, skirmishes in the narrow streets of the village of Bir el Mazar, and dogfights above the majestic cliffs. When all hope is lost, reinforcements will arrive in the shape of a powerful Behemoth: a deadly Armored Train charging through the desert sands.

There are two modes to try out:

  • Conquest. An all-time fan favorite of Battlefield players, Conquest is a large-scale game mode with up to 64 players fighting for the control of key objectives. With large armies on foot or behind the wheel and the addition of fearsome Behemoths, Conquest brings together all the elements of the signature Battlefield All-Out War.
  • Rush. In this 24-player mode, the Attacking force must find and destroy the Defending force’s Telegraph Posts, which can be used to call in artillery strikes. The Defenders can deny the Attackers their mission by disarming explosives they plant on the telegraph positions. Should the Telegraph Posts be destroyed, the Defenders must fall back to the next sector and protect the Telegraph Posts there.

During this time, we also invite you to check out the web experience of the new Battlefield Career Page, which is also being tested during the Battlefield 1 Open Beta. This experience will allow you to log in and track your in-game progress and view a wide variety of stats while you’re not in the game. If you have any feedback, head over to the Battlefield Forums.

Battlefield 1 will release on October 21, or October 18 if you pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition**. And don’t forget, there are going to be Play First trials for EA Access and Origin Access members that will let you start playing on October 13***.

† PERSISTENT INTERNET CONNECTION, EA ACCOUNT, ACCEPTANCE OF (I) BETA AGREEMENT, (II) TERMS OF SERVICE AND (III) PRIVACY AND COOKIE POLICY REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BETA.  XBOX LIVE GOLD OR PlayStation Plus SUBSCRIPTION MAY BE REQUIRED. New Video Showcases the Vehicles of Battlefield 1

Vehicles have always played a big part in the Battlefield franchise, and many of the tanks, attack planes, and armored cars you’ve driven and piloted in prior games got their start in World War I. We’re really excited that we get to show the genesis of that vehicular technology with Battlefield 1.

Take a look at how DICE brought a wide variety of vehicles into Battlefield 1 in this new video.

The vehicles you’ll use in Battlefield 1 were created for a new type of warfare. They were massive and powerful, shaping the future of warfare with every shell shot or bomb dropped. These new vehicles required more attention and specialization, represented in-game with the Tanker and Pilot classes you’ll play as if you deploy into a tank or plane respectively.

You’ll be able to try the vehicles for yourself when Battlefield 1 releases on October 21 (or October 18 if you pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition*). Also, don’t forget to sign up for Battlefield Insider to get early access to the Battlefield 1 Open Beta**.

*Conditions and restrictions apply. See https://www.battlefield.com/disclaimers for details.

**PERSISTENT INTERNET CONNECTION, EA ACCOUNT, ACCEPTANCE OF (I) BETA AGREEMENT, (II) TERMS OF SERVICE AND (III) PRIVACY AND COOKIE POLICY REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BETA. GAMEPLAY PROGRESS, ACHIEVEMENTS, CHARACTERS, CHARACTER DATA AND/OR ANY OTHER VALUE OR STATUS INDICATORS ACHIEVED THROUGH GAMEPLAY IN THE BETA WILL NOT TRANSFER TO BATTLEFIELD 1.
