With Movember in full swing, DICE is busy raising money to change the face of men’s health. Therefore, we wanted to highlight some of the finest moustaches in Battlefield history.
Many moustaches have come and gone throughout the years of the Battlefield franchise – but only a few stand out. From thick and long to short and wispy, the following five ‘staches are nothing short of amazing. Ready for a trip down upper-lip memory lane? Let’s Mo.
Futuristic Facial Furniture (Battlefield 2142)
In a time of helmet visors and clean-shaven fashion, moustaches are a rare sight in the 22nd century – a dystopian world for ‘stache aficionados indeed. However, we managed to find at least one educated Battlefield 2142 soldier aware of the timeless fact: it’s careless to be hairless.
The Van Dyke (Battlefield Bad Company)
George Gordon Haggard Jr. claims he got his first shotgun at the age of 12. We’re pretty sure his moustache arrived at roughly the same time. Putting it mildly, this is a dirt squirrel that has seen a lot, smoke traces from a lifetime of demolition still living therein.
Old Bullet Proof (Battlefield Heroes)
Combined with a baritone war cry, the mighty ‘stache of this Battlefield Heroes gunner paralyzed the enemies with fear. It’s one thing being sprayed with bullets, but handlebars of this magnitude are enough to make the bravest of men reach for the white flag.
The Stiff Upper-Lip (Battlefield 3)
Even a thousand mile trip begins with a single step. The same goes for moustaches; the sight of thin whiskers in early Movember (as seen in the BF3 image above) might not impress your squad – but give it time and you’ll see a mighty soup strainer emerge.
The Punkbuster (Battlefield Hardline)
Nick Mendoza has seen both sides of the law and is not afraid to switch it up in the bro-merang department either. The crooks of Battlefield Hardline are sure to respect the authority of this face lace – extra useful during interrogations. See you on March 17, Mendoza. You have the right to remain snazzy.
